The material flow is as follows: crushed herbage with moisture of about 45-75% is sent to the drum by the conveyor to realize downstream drying. Herbage is continuously picked up and scattered under the inner layer of the board, and advances in a spiral manner. After passing through the inner, middle and outer layers, the exchange of quality and heat between herbage and hot air is realized. Herbage with drying effect moves fast under the action of wind and is discharged from the drum. Wet herbage without drying effect cannot move fast due to its own weight, The herbage is fully dried within the control stroke, so as to achieve the drying effect. The moisture of the herbage is reduced to 14-18% (customer requirements), and the drying process is completed and discharged by the screw conveyor. A special removing device is installed inside the drum to prevent uneven drying of grass.

The gas flow is as follows: the forage dryer is equipped with an indirect clean hot blast stove. The clean air is pressurized by the blower and enters the heat exchanger for heating. The temperature reaches 150-350 ℃, and is sucked into the dryer by the induced draft fan after the dryer to dry the materials and evaporate the moisture. The temperature is reduced to 35-55 ℃ and then discharged from the dryer. The dust and moisture are purified by the dust collector and discharged up to standard.
